J & J Paws 'n Claws

Caring for your Furry, Scaled & Feathered Friends

J & J Paws 'n Claws is a retired, veteran owned and operated company with our primary focus on providing high quality customer service and delivering excellence in customer satisfaction. Serving our clients, both human and animal, holds a very important place in our hearts, and we will do everything we can to meet &/or exceed your expectations.

At J & J Paws 'n Claws, we consider it our personal responsibility to ensure that your animals are taken care of with the utmost diligence and respect, regarding your pets as our pets while under our care.

The "J & J" in our name is for Jack & Jill, our two original canine companions that are at the center of our love for animals. Jack was a giant Australian Shepherd (Yeah, we didn't know there was a giant in this breed, either). He weighed about 90 pounds. Jill was a 54 pound Newoxerlabmation.  She was just too doggone sweet to refer to her as a "mutt", so we gave her a designer breed name. She was one of a kind. Can you guess the breed collection?

Terri & Jim Russell are the retired owners and administrators of J & J Paws 'n Claws. Terri is a Certified Dog Trainer through Animal Behavior College, an internationally recognized school approved by the Bureau for Private Post-Secondary and Vocational Education. Her studies include Canine Learning Theory giving her the scientific fundamentals she needs to help owners better understand their dog’s behavior patterns and aid them in having an optimum owner/pet relationship. Terri's education also includes specialization in Pet Sitting and Cat Management, as well as specializing in the art of working with shelter animals and their specific needs. She also works with special needs pets. Terri is certified in Pet First Aid & CPR and has experience working with animals at a veterinarians' office. Jim is a retired Army chaplain who works alongside Terri. Together, as a team, they endeavor to provide you with the satisfaction you need when you place your pets under their care.
